Unfortunately this did not work for me. In fact, it made it so that I could not open Excel files by double clicking them at all! This is for Office 2007, but I think the same applies for other versions, although the option will probably be somewhere else in the menus. Open Excel. I'm using windows 7 on a 32 bit OS. the install appeared to be successful so it seems strange it would be corrupted and still work. like Tom, I have little experience with installers, so maybe that is normal.
